”The Pond 6 - Lotus” is part of a series of paintings that have Lotus and Water Lily ponds theme. Lotus and Water Lilies are two of my favourite flowers. There is a pond near my home and every time i walk past the pond, the beauty of the lotuses and water lilies in bloom always mesmerizes me. The idea that something so beautiful emerges from muddied waters is so hopeful and positive. I like that. This painting started out as an experimentation where I wanted to see how Alcohol Ink and Acrylic Ink look together. It eventually ended up being an addition to one of my favourite themes, Lotus and Water lilies.
