Convergence 3

The Convergence series is abstract art where red, black, yellow, and white come together through dynamic flows of color and texture. The surface has a layered, tactile quality that guides the eye along the movement of the paint. Red streaks intersect with deep blacks, while areas of yellow add contrast and brightness, softened by touches of white. The composition appears both free and intentional, balancing energy with structure. It represents a meeting point of different visual elements, where color and texture work together to create a sense of motion, interaction, and subtle complexity without relying on clear forms or figures.

Artist Statement

My artistic journey is driven by a constant curiosity and a desire to try new materials, techniques, and ideas. Over time, this willingness to experiment has become a key part of how I work. I see my art practice space as a place for ongoing discovery, where each project helps me grow and develop my visual style. I believe that learning never stops, and my art reflects this—always changing and evolving as I explore new processes and directions.

My practice moves fluidly between representational and abstract styles, with a strong focus on texture and the interplay of colour and surface. While formally trained in representational art and illustration, my exploration of abstraction has expanded my creative expression. I’m drawn to the tactile and visual qualities of materials, often layering diluted pigments over textured surfaces to reveal unexpected patterns and depth.
